If you take a cross section of people in the world there will always be some ill people that will be sick. Obviously some of those people had other health issues. It would be a lie to say that they didn't. You cannot asssociate every condition as being attributed to the low carb diet. Some people get nausea and lightheadedness early on and quit because it sometimes takes awhile to convert to a ketone metabolism. Furthermore, for the millionth ,billionth time ketoacidosis is NOT EVER present in a low carbohydrate diet in general. Only those with type 2 diabetes should avoid it or be monitored . Either you are ignorant to the truth or you have an agenda . Either you don't understand the truth about ketoacidosis in a low carb diet or you are a bold faced liar.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13260386.post-29538951101334912262010-05-28T23:31:40.266-05:002010-05-28T23:31:40.266-05:00From what I've learned as a nurse, excessive v...From what I've learned as a nurse, excessive vomiting results in a large loss of acid, which causes a person to consequently become alkalotic. Diarrhea is more associated with bicarbonate loss, thus making a person more acidic.Sam Potterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15377738790775184868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13260386.post-37546657849004570802008-02-05T01:51:00.000-06:002008-02-05T01:51:00.000-06:00You should guest star on House. Are they sure it wasn't alkalosis?

Sad thing is that 1. This woman will now be terrified to again attemp low carb to help her loose weight and gain health.....and 2. That so many people are going to use this (ad nauseum) as ammunition against low carb plans!Alcinda (Cindy) Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14950698583878546323noreply@blogger.com
